GMP is a well-established engineering consultancy with over forty years’ experience in Tanzania. It acts as the local arm of FBW Group which provides construction consultancy services across the East African region.
GMP was established in 1962 when Gordon Melvin opened offi ces in Nairobi and Dar es Salaam. In 1972 Gordon Melvin and Partners was formed with M.H. Leach in Tanzania and N.R. Evans in Kenya. With the retirement of Gordon Melvin the fi rm was restructured as GMP Consulting Engineers Ltd. The fi rm is registered in Tanzania with the Engineers Registration Board as an Engineering Consulting Firm - No. 041 (L.C.F. Civil and Structural).
GMP main o ffices in Tanzania are situated at 19 Haile Selassie Road, Arusha, and manned by ten full-time professional and technical staff . The company also maintains a fully-manned satellite office in Dar es Salaam.
